Aspire Jobs are working with our client, a well-established and professional services firm, to help them recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to assist with their client's payrolls. Your key purpose will be to provide a professional and responsive payrollservice to clients, by adhering to defined service level agreements and statutory requirements, ensuring accurate payroll reports every week or month are provided to the clients.

Our client runs multiple payrolls for clients of all sizes including Director only payrolls to the largest which is approx 250 people, mostly all run monthly although there are a couple of exceptions. Depending on the level of experience, the Payroll Assistanthas will depend on which clients you are given to manage.

**The successful Payroll Assistant will:

- Have min 2 years previous payroll experience
- Have good grades at GCSE and/or A Level
- Be computer literate and ideally have used Sage or Bright pay payroll system
- Have experience of running payroll of various sizes
- Have experience of RTI submissions
- Have experience of setting up and managing client pension schemes
- Have an excellent communication manner
- Be deadline driven
- Ensure that all client payrolls are complete as required to meet clients deadlines, ensuring accuracy and high levels of service delivery at all times
- Maintain, promote and develop the use of electronic import files as a means of data entry
- Set up new payroll schemes as required and ensure all authorities and on-line access rights are in place
- Deal with all payroll correspondence and keep clients advised about all relevant matters
- Maintain positive and highly focussed relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client care and service delivery
- Effectively plan and prioritise allocation of work to ensure targets are achieved consistently
- Provide support in other areas, as required, in order to deal with the needs of clients and varying demands of the department and the firm
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation
- Carry out annual fee reviews for clients within the portfolio
