Cook Supervisor with Housekeeping Duties

**VANRATH** are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a **Cook Supervisor with Housekeeping Duties **on a 3 month contract with it highly likely to be extended.

Based in **Enniskillen**, the Supervisor / Cook will work closely with other staff members in providing a caring environment and will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals and responsible for cleaning duties for the home and provides care for a range of children / young people between the ages of 11-18 years.

**The Ideal Person**
- 1 years relevant experience as a cook working within a commercial catering/Health Care facility.

**AND**
- NVQ level 1 & 2 in Catering Qualification or and Guilds 706/1 plus 706/2 or equivalent.

**OR**
- 3 years relevant experience as a cook working within a commercial catering/Health Care facility.

**In addition to one of the above**:

- CIEH Level 2 Food Safety.

AND
- Basic Food Hygiene Qualification

**Responsibilities**
- To carry out specified enforcement, investigative, educational and advisory duties associated with the responsibilities of any area of work to which the postholder is assigned.
- To actively participate in and progress through a structured development programme to build the professional experience and competence.
- To proactively liaise with other organisations (public, private, voluntary and community) to enhance the achievement of service and unit objectives.
- To carry out project work as directed by the Principal Environmental Health Officer or Senior EHO.
- To be responsible for organising personal daily work demands to ensure that all relevant agreed targets are achieved to ensure that a quality, customer focused environmental health service is delivered.
- To provide such reports, records and statistical information as required.
- To keep himself or herself informed of all new developments within the area of work to which the postholder is currently assigned through a process of continuing professional development.
