**Job Title: Finance Business Partner**

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, the role will be responsible for providing key commercial information to the business and will be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of the same. The Finance Business Partner will support the Commercial Finance Director and work closely with the commercial and sales functions including senior management to more effectively control and enhance overall business profitability.

To succeed in this role, people skills are critical, you must be adaptable and be capable of delivering information with clarity and appropriate to specific audiences. You must be a team player with excellent communication and technical skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Performance management, measuring variance to plan - KPI targets.
- Validate accuracy, consistency, and relevance of performance management information
- Analysis of actuals and the financial accuracy and integrity of forecasts, budgets and strategic planning
- Monitoring, tracking & driving cost reduction initiatives for the business (linking with functional leads)
- Investment support where required
- Enabling commercial & business leadership to drive the strategic growth plan
- Responsible for the integrity of reporting
- Ensure that all relevant risk elements are assessed, mitigated, and communicated to management

**Main Responsibilities**
- Company management reporting for the relevant departments
- The budget preparation and sign-off with sales, commercial and all other senior managers responsible for budget allocations
- Liaise with the Functional heads in monitoring gross margin, cost of sales and operational costs with the aim of improving overall company profitability
- Work with Commercial Team to identify profit opportunities
- Develop cost-to-serve analysis such that business can more readily highlight net profitability
- Provide analytical support for capital investment proposals.
- Identify areas of future cost saving / synergy
- Work with the Operations Business Partner to report on KPIs and drive business performance.

**Experience required**
- 2-5 years PQE - ACCA or CIMA preferred.
- Experience within a commercial environment
- Commercial and business acumen on review of the margins within the business and recommendations of enhancement or maintenance of existing process
- Advanced Excel skills
- Analytical and numerate with a strong attention to detail
- Ambition to advance within the organization to a senior commercial role.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships - e.g. sales team, commercial (margin management, inventory, and supply chain) and operations

**Salary**: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
