As the HR Manager, as well as line managing the team, you will oversee all Employee Relations procedures, processes and documentation for the company, as well as support, coach and develop the team under you in regard to this. You will also be expected tomanage the more serious or high-risk cases that may arise. There will also be opportunities to support and work on various People and HR related projects in our ever-growing and evolving business - so we are looking for a colleague who can bring innovationand experience to our team.
Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Sevenoaks with Hybrid working
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 5:30pm
**What you will be doing**:
- Advise and guide operational managers on issues related to employee relations
- Support and develop the team to deliver the same consistently and effectively
- Advise on complex ER issues to deliver solution-focused recommendations and resolutions that will assist in risk management
- Develop a succession plan and keep under review
- Provide support & work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Head of HR and deputise for them in their absence
- Work with the Head of HR to develop and deliver an improved employee lifecycle and the effectiveness of human resources processes
- Responsible for delivering high quality, easy to engage administrative processes, compliance, systems, policies, procedures, and legal contracts such as settlement agreements
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement, be resilient and comfortable with challenging the status quo
- Manage a team of 4 HR professionals both in person and remote, including 121s, appraisals and employment law development
- Delegate responsibility where possible, expecting accountability and regular feedback
**What we are looking for**:
- 2+ years existing management experience, ideally across a fast-paced, multi-site environment as a Deputy HR Manager or comparable role
- Strong partnering and relationship building skills in a fast-paced private sector organisation
- A balance of strategic and operational HR experience - succession planning, change management, leading HR projects as well as the usual range of experience in ER, well-being etc.
- Experience of coaching, influencing and building strong working relationships with managers
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Proven track record of operating in a complex working environment
- Broad experience of managing & leading organisational change programmes, e.g. TUPE, Organisation re-design, redundancy programmes
- Understanding of a business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs
- Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing complex projects to successful conclusion
- Experience of partnering with both direct reports and teams remotely and in-person across separate locations
- Ability to establish professional credibility quickly with colleagues and to interact effectively with staff at all levels and across all departments
