**Scope of Role**:

- Responsible for Purchasing from MRP system to assigned planner workbench, and

follow action messages to keep material receipts aligned to business needs, including sub-contract
orders
- Develop personal savings plan to offset headwinds
- Raise Non-MRP purchase orders from requisition forms

**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Ensure parts and material are bought at the most competitive price, correct

quality, lead-time and are delivered on-time for production
- Managing and controlling company’s external suppliers within business cell

structure
- Develop relationships with current Suppliers and sub-contractors
- Process all sub-contract operations, ensuring swift turnaround of parts in line

with business needs
- Ensure key relationships are built with internal and external stakeholders
- Implement personal savings and on-cost tracker
- Ensure the timely return of all defective material and ensure corrective actions

are put in place to prevent reoccurrence
- Assist with NSQ process, including TAT, transparency and MRP system updates
- Drive improvements in Supplier On-Time Delivery with key accounts
- Continually improve Purchasing methods ad drive down external spend

**Professional Knowledge & Experience**:
1. Aerospace experience with technical responsibility for the development of mechanisms, electromechanical components, actuators, actuation systems
2. Sound understanding of systems modelling including mechanical, electromechanical and electromagnetic systems
3. Recent experience in Matlab/Simulink environment including SimScape/SimMechanics
4. Good knowledge of motor design principles
5. Relevant CAD software experience
6. Able to conduct stress, thermal and mechanical analyses from first principles
7. Working knowledge of the detailed design of mechanical components such as bearings, lead screws, ball screws and gearboxes
8. A solid academic and practical understanding of classic and modern control theory
9. Able to communicate and influence at all levels of the hierarchy through presentations, verbally and written, especially directed at customer interaction
10. Project engineering / project management experience
