A global manufacturing business supplying product to the aerospace sector require a Senior Buyer. Applicants need strategic procurement abilities gained within a manufacturing or engineering business and be familiar with technical drawings and stakeholderengagement.

The Senior Buyer will work within a team of Buyers driving strategic procurement activity, improved performance and efficiencies from the supply chain. The Senior Buyer would work closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain management team. An exciting,end-to-end procurement role entailing; negotiation, vendor management and process improvement.

Specific duties of the Senior Buyer include:

- Supply market intelligence, supply selection and identification activities - best cost country
- Supply Chain Management - KPIs, Metrics, Risk Mitigation, Relationship building
- Negotiate improved T&CS with new and existing suppliers
- Operational procurement tasks - continuity of supply, OTD/OTIF etc.
- Foster relationships with technical stakeholders - production, design, engineering, quality etc.

Senior Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Strategic procurement capability - negotiation, vendor management, supply chain de-risk
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering business
- The ability to interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with a global supply chain
- Willingness to be predominately, site-based.
