FUNCTION
1. To support the correct use of SWIFT and other systems within the Adult Social Services Department, other departments and agencies by ensuring that data inputting practices reflect current procedures.

2. To analyse data quality reports and offer appropriate support to staff to rectify errors.

3. To contribute experience of practice to the ongoing development of SWIFT and training plans.

4. Where necessary to correct erroneous records.

KEY TASKS
1. To support the correct use of SWIFT and other systems through the regular analysis of data quality reports.

2. To offer appropriate advisory support to staff of the Adult Social Services Department and other departments and agencies in the light of analysis of data quality reports.

3. To amend records when required.

4. To provide advice and support, including a helpdesk function, to staff on data inputting practices.

5. To support measures to ensure adherence to the departments file retention policy.

6. To ensure the complete processing of death lists from NHS agencies.

7. To support the acquisition and recording of the NHS number in all client records through the NSTS batch, on line and telephone facilities.

8. To keep abreast of new developments in SWIFT.

9. To contribute to training plans by providing regular reports to the Systems Support & Implementation Team Manager on SWIFT data quality and inputting practices within the Adult Social Services Department and other agencies.

10. To assist information Systems Training Officers, if required, with hands on help for staff during SWIFT training sessions.

11. To provide Coaching and mentoring to staff immediately after attendance on SWIFT & other systems training courses

12. To carry out such duties as may be authorised by the Director of Adult Social Services or such other Officer as may be authorised by the Director.
