**Overall Purpose of the Role**

Due to business re-organisation a **temporary** role has been created to add to the current team supporting the business through the changes. The role will work closely with the purchasing and warehouse teams and the Head of Finance.

**The Principal Duties & Responsibilities**

The following outlines the principal duties and responsibilities that this role plays in ensuring Sherriffs Foods continues to grow and generate new business. Other duties or a change of duties may be necessary from time to time.

**Role Specific Duties**:

- Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain accuracy of supplier details
- Liaising with suppliers
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Process business expense returns
- Process all credit card transactions and expense claims
- Preparing and processing of weekly payment routines
- Petty cash postings
- To liaise with and report to management and colleagues as necessary
- Attending all meetings and training events as required. Providing reports where requested.
- Ensuring that statutory and legal obligations are met.
- Ensure our financial sustainability by adhering to all financial procedures and processes of Sherriffs Foods. Promoting the organisation’s various policies within your work, in particular Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and Ethical & Environmental.
- Displaying high standards of professionalism, politeness, conduct and service.
- Working with the team, to provide mutual support, and ensure a full customer service is maintained at all times.
- Be flexible in your approach to work in order to meet organisational objectives and projects.
- Ensuring personal knowledge and skills are updated to ensure effectiveness in meeting work objectives and supporting your own development by taking part in training opportunities as agreed Sherriffs Foods.
- To undertake any other duties within their competence, to provide operational cover for colleagues including absence and periods of peak workload as required.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by Sherriffs Foods.
**Qualifications**
- An aptitude for IT
**Experience**
- Of working in an accounting environment and in a purchase ledger department
**Knowledge**
- Of software packages (word/excel)
- Experience of using MS Navision
**Skills**
- High level of accuracy & attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
- Self disciplined & organised
- Ability to work to deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
