The working hours for this role are Friday-Tuesday 7:30am to 4pm

**Salary**:
£14.50-£15.50 per hour, dependent on experience. The typical working week is 40 hours; however, additional hours may occasionally be necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adherence to Standards: Comply with the Simon Charles Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and health and safety within the warehouse, ensuring all fire exits and escape routes are clear.
- Safety and Security: Complete fire safety logs and secure the warehouse at the end of each shift.
- Operational Efficiency: Actively work to enhance warehouse efficiency, developing and implementing new processes in coordination with the management team.
- Staff Supervision: Monitor staff behaviour, address issues promptly in the absence of senior management, and uphold professionalism at all times.
- Shift and Site Flexibility: Be flexible to cover various shifts or other Simon Charles sites as needed.
- Decision Making: Make informed and timely decisions, focusing on optimal outcomes for the business.
- Staff Development: Assist with recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions. Ensure all new starters complete their induction and training.
- Team Management: Lead a small team to ensure productivity in cataloguing, stocking, and dispatching of stock.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain KPIs for all team members and ensure adherence in all operational areas.
- Inventory Management: Oversee efficient stock picking and preparation, reducing customer wait times and errors. Ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
- Reporting: Produce weekly picking and dispatch reports, providing feedback to senior management.
- Stock Handling: Ensure prompt relisting or combination of unsold stock to facilitate sales, and that postal orders are completed within one week.
- Compliance: Ensure all staff members follow the health and safety guidelines set out by Simon Charles.
- Operational Targets: Achieve a dispatch completion rate of at least 90% and maintain minimum lot counts as required by senior management.
- Customer Service: Improve customer experience by promptly responding to enquiries and assisting with viewings.
- Returns Processing: Support the postal department with the processing of returns, ensuring they are handled within 24 hours.
- Management Continuity: Ensure a smooth transition during absences by thoroughly briefing the Covering Manager.
- Leadership: Maintain a positive 'can-do' attitude and foster this within your team. In the absence of senior management, organise meetings to prepare for the forthcoming week.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in warehouse management or a comparable supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
