As an Operational Excellence Manager at Unipart Logistics, you will work closely with our site teams to embed Operational Excellence and Digital technologies consistently. You will lead, coordinate and deliver process improvement projects aligned to agreed business priorities.

Your primary focus will be to deploy Operational Excellence and Digital technologies into operations delivering value to the business and positive outcomes measured through Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery indicators.

**Operational Excellence Manager Responsibilities**:

- Leading and delivering continuous improvement activities to improve operational performance and enhance colleague capability in the use of Unipart Way tools and techniques
- Delivering tangible and validated financial savings through OpEx and Digital delivery
- Using OpEx and UL Digital tools to deliver 'Right First Time' principles into operations
- Learning, sharing and adopting of best practice within the Logistics division and wider business
- Acting as mentor and coach for peers and high potential colleagues, ensuring there is a strong pipeline of succession
- Supporting and coaching Team Leaders and Operational Managers with their personal development accreditation programmes, particularly OpEx elements where applicable

**Operational Excellence Manager Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Experience of delivering Operational Excellence with data analysis and colleague engagement to drive tangible results in Unipart - or similar experience of delivering OpEx / Lean / Continuous Improvement activities and outcomes in an external business
- Experience of delivering focused improvement events resulting in validated step change in key performance indicators and enhancing colleague knowledge and capability
- Knowledgeable on the latest warehousing and distribution best practices from across the Logistics industry and has a self-interest in remaining informed of emerging concepts and solutions
- Experience of coaching and mentoring others
- Proven track record of an ability to influence internal stakeholders and external clients and at all levels of organisational hierarchy to drive change
- Excellent communication skills; spoken, written, presenting
- Able to demonstrate flexibility in working anywhere across the UK Logistics division

**Desirable**
- Experience of delivering OpEx / Lean / CI activities in different sectors; Automotive, Consumer, Defence, Health, Technology
- Flexible to work in UL locations overseas when requested
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified
- Experience of working with and implementing digital capabilities (particularly RPA, Automation, Cobots and data science technologies; AR/VR, IoT, Big Data, Simulation, Machine Learning etc)
