**Food Quality Assistant**

**Burton on Trent**

**Role Purpose**:
Reporting into the Food Quality Manager; as Food Quality Analyst your key purpose will be to support Greene King's Purchasing, Development and Pub teams, to ensure best product quality. You will monitor product quality on an on-going basis, raise food orders for product surveillance and respond to incoming PQS for food quality complaints.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work closely with the buyers & the Food Quality Manager to ensure reporting is cascaded in a timely manner
- Work closely with the Food Quality Manager and our suppliers to ensure resolution of issues and determine preventative measures
- Provide trend analysis data by supplier & category, allowing business decisions to be made.
- Work with Operations to ensure pubs are receiving timely resolution on queries and issues
- Controlling purchasing food samples, planning, and executing an efficient exit strategy
- Assist the Food Quality Manager with the administrative and practical functions of the weekly product alignment sessions
- Assist the Food Quality Manager with in house product surveillance sessions, from producing data to identify products for surveillance, to carrying out practical analysis on food products and reporting the results.
- Logging PQS tickets onto Smart Supplier, responding to tickets with supplier response, storing PQS reports to a shared location accessible to key stakeholders.
- Completing period report to ensure GXO reimburse pubs for justified PQS and suppliers are invoiced accordingly.

**About you**:

- Strong communication and customer focus skills are essential.
- Be proactive, flexible and prioritise own workload.
- No formal qualifications required but experience within the retail or hospitality environment is highly desirable, along with a good understanding of retail systems/PQS.
- Would suit someone with BOH (back of house) experience looking to move to an office-based role.
