IT Infrastructure Engineer Salary circa £40k-£45K Flexible working available Office based in Liverpool **The Opportunity** We are looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our client based in the Liverpool Dock area, although you will have the opportunity to work flexibly at home a few days per week and in the office. They are a business who in recent years have been benefiting from the consumer shift from high street to ecommerce shopping. If that sounds better than your current role, then read on **Your Role** You will have the opportunity to act as project support lead, providing the viewpoint of the Infrastructure department to the project and to feedback pertinent information from the project to IT services The role supports, in conjunction with the Infrastructure Manager the overall strategic direction of Infrastructure and ultimately IT Services Business as usual objectives including the management of group Infrastructure technology, Project implementation, supplier management and 3rd line support. **Day to day** *Key member in the day-to-day activities offering 3rd line support as part of the team within the Group. *Including incident and problem root cause analysis *Be one of the Infrastructure Tech Leads for key projects across the group *Lead technical aspects from recommendations to installation in support of DX IT projects for consolidation, merger and redesign of the core Infrastructure. *In collaboration with the IT Infrastructure Manager and broader team; define, gain approval for and deliver a technology roadmap that supports the Group business/IT strategy & Head of IT Service's Management strategy. *In collaboration with the Head of IT services, IT Infrastructure Manager and the Application and Development Manager design and develop cost effective. "de-risked" solutions to ensure existing legacy systems are proactively decommissioned appropriatelyor where necessary remain fully supportable. *Upgrade systems (internally and externally supported) by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements for hardware and software. *Proactively identify areas where improvements can be made; plan and gain approval for tactical upgrades to existing systems. From design through project deployment, testing *evaluating, and installing enhancements for hardware and systems software. *Provide key support and documentation in the on-going development, refinement and testing of the group business continuity plan *An element of rotated On Call support and some site travel required (must have own car) **Who are you?** For this role we would like you to have; - Extensive hands-on experience across multiple key technologies within a 3rd line infrastructure role or team - Multi Windows Server 2008 onwards, AD, GPO, DHCP, clustering and HA - VMware experience - Citrix experience - Knowledge of Network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN) and comms troubleshooting - Storage and SAN experience (ideally NetApp, HP MSA / P2000, 3PAR) - Created group policy objects to deploy settings to users and computers - Switch/ Routing knowledge (preferably Cisco **The Next Steps** If this sounds like you, or you would like to find out more about this opportunity then you have two options - Call Stephen Morris at CRG TEC to find out more.
