This is very much a leadership role with an emphasis on service support. It’s a great opportunity for someone with an interest in governance to represent the specialty and enhance the quality of the service for our deserving patients.

**The main duties of the role will include**:

- Handling of complaints
- Managing incidents
- Managing the risk register
- Overseeing departmental documentation
- Training of staff
- Participation in General Radiography cover as required - this may be as Team Leader or Duty Superintendent
- Perform Line Manager Duties as required

- To lead a team of radiographers ensuring a high standard of clinical service is maintained at all times.
- To be responsible for the radiation protection of the multi-disciplinary team and patients.
- To maintain close liaison with both clinical and managerial staff within both the Complaints and incidents team and Radiology Departments.
- To take lead responsibility for investigations in the department communications with modality leads as appropriate
- To manage the risk register and feedback to key stakeholders on pressing issues.
- To co-ordinate the SOP’s and PDG’s within Radiology and ensure they are maintained in date and compliant with the appropriate ratification process
- To oversee the management of the patient information leaflets
- To liaise with the infection prevention team on behalf of Radiology
- To oversee the completion of patient satisfaction surveys

- If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
