The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS) is a partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police (GMP), which was established early in 2017. We aim is to provide a first class, professional, HR and payroll service for around 20,000 employees and customers across both organisations.
We are seeking a dynamic HR Systems and Data Specialist dedicated to providing a professional service to both Trafford Council and GMP, including continuous improvement and development of processes and systems across the employee lifecycle.
This role would be suitable for an individual seeking a challenge in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused environment who has a passion for optimising technology for the delivery of a payroll, pensions and HR service.

**Main Purpose of this role**

The successful applicant will play a key part in the development and continuous improvement of a ‘leading edge’ Shared Service Partnership. The role requires the individual to contribute towards a high performing customer focussed shared service through skills and knowledge of our innovative HR and payroll systems.

As well as playing a key role in the development of a best-in-class service, the successful applicant will be able to provide a full business system administration and user support for a HR Shared Service Centre; including systems maintenance and upgrades, testing, user security and development of new systems and modules.
This role will also be required to support the provision of a comprehensive management information service, providing all intelligence reports to partnership members within information governance protocols. The System and Data Specialists are responsible for the more complex and in-depth data analysis requested from the team, so the ability to deal with large volumes of information while maintaining a high degree of data integrity is essential.

In addition to this the System and Data Specialist will be required to be the expert in systems used by the HR Shared Service Centre and will be responsible for providing system users with the skills that they require through training, delivery, documentation and query management.
