**Are you an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker looking for your next challenge?**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join an established Children's Residential Provider. You would be joining a team of professionals delivering high quality care to three young service users with complex behaviour.

The home is based in North West London with great links to the local train/rail network. Shifts will be worked on a basis of **2 days on / 4 days off** with all staff, paid full time, for 40 hours a week. There won't be a need for constant travel throughout the week for many shifts.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To provide primary basic care and a nurturing, therapeutic environment to help the child progress.
- Manage the home effectively in the absence of the home or deputy manager.
- Effectively lead shifts, direct and support the staff team.
- To mentor and support staff and manage individual and team performance to ensure a standard of excellent service delivery.
- Ensure the effective monitoring and control of all expenditure accounted for in accordance with financial procedures.
- To manage health and safety processes in the home including implementation and monitoring of risk assessments.
- To support the induction process of new colleagues.
- To model a robust commitment to safe guarding actively promoting the welfare of children and young people
- To contribute to care planning and the implementation of these plans.
- To work alongside psychologists to enable effective integration of care and therapy.
- To work with children and young people and their prospective carers to ensure the child’s successful integration into a family when placed.
- To be a key carer of a child or young person where designated.

**Household Responsibilities**
- To always follow and act in the spirit of the staff therapeutic principles agreed to upon commencement of employment.
- To share in the practical activities necessary to maintain the home to the highest standard.
- To set the highest standard in home making.
- To take ownership of the home, including the fabric, equipment and grounds.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
