Worcester, United Kingdom Maggs Day Centre Full time

Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of People Experiencing Homelessness in Worcestershire? If so, we are currently looking for a passionate Volunteer and Training Coordinator to work within our Day Centre Team here at Maggs Day Centre.

**Maggs Day Centre provides the basics, a lifeline to help people survive the worst of what life throws at them.**

Maggs was founded in 1984 after a homeless man died after years of sleeping rough on the streets. His death prompted members of several local churches to come together and form an action group. Their work led to a day centre being created in the former St Albans church, dedicated to helping people experiencing homeless in Worcester. Since then, we have expanded opening an 2nd Day Centre in Malvern, we have an Outreach Team who work in the community, a Clothing Project where people experiencing homelessness can get clean clothes and supplies, and most recently we have set up our accommodation project to provide temporary housing with support from Tenancy Sustainment Workers, with a view to tenants having the skills and confidence to secure permanent housing.

**Want to know more? Here’s what we need from you**:
Main Purpose of Job
- To Recruit, train, manage and mentor Volunteers and students. We rely on Volunteers to support our staff members in our Day Centre's and Clothing Project, to ensure we can offer our full range of services. You need to “think outside the box” to utilize any opportunities for attracting new volunteers. You will need to liaise with our administrator on marketing materials and social media promotions.
- Produce annual volunteer statistics and biannual reports to the trustees. You need to feel confident producing documentation, to a standard that is easy to read for a range of stakeholders, but includes all the pertinent information needed.

We warmly welcome applicants from black, minority, ethnic (BME) communities, disabled people and lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities, as they are currently under represented within our workforce - this diversity is vital to our journey and is fundamental to our values and enriches the service we offer the people we work with.
