Head of Communication

As the Head of Communications for Stonegate Group, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing communication strategies to enhance our internal communication programme and promote our external reputation.

Reporting to our Director of Communications and Engagement, as Head of Communications, you’ll play a lead role in the overall team with responsibility for internal and external communications, public relations, media relations and company reputation. The Head of Communications will be a a strategic thinker with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering impactful and engaging communication initiatives with a passion for storytelling.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Strategic Planning: Working cross functionally to develop comprehensive communication strategies aligned to the company’s mission, pillars and values ensuring consistency across all channels.
- Team Leadership: Managing a team of communication specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Media Relations: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage. You will also be responsible for overseeing all responses to external PR, Media and Government enquiries
- Brand Management: Overseeing the company’s brand identity, ensuring brand consistency in all communications and collateral materials.
- Content Development: Leading the creation of compelling content for various platforms, including internal platforms, press releases, website copy and social media posts
- Internal Communications: Developing and implement strategies to enhance internal communication opportunities, keeping employees informed and engaged with the company’s mission, pillars and values
- Public Relations: Planning and executing PR campaigns to promote the company’s initiatives, events, and achievements, leveraging both traditional and digital media channels.
- Crisis Communication: Supporting the Director of Communication and Engagement with managing crises and sensitive issues

You’ll need to have a Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field and significant experience in a senior communications leadership role. You’ll have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver strong results You’ll also need extensive media relations experience, including crisis management and spokesperson training.
