Design Estimator

**About the role**:
As a Design Estimator, you’ll be responsible for designing and producing quotes for new clean water connections to our existing network. This role will require you to learn in-depth technical information about providing new water services to our customers.
Working collaboratively within an established team and across the business, you’ll work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
**What you will be doing**:

- Prepare designs and quotes for new water connections when required.
- Deal with customer enquiries and liaise with areas of the business in the effective delivery of new connections while at all times protecting Thames Water’s assets.
- Develop excellent relationships with customers and ensure they receive an exceptional experience.
- Carry out accurate work complying with company processes and regulatory requirements to agreed operational performance targets.
- Identify opportunities to change processes to improve the customer journey.

**What skills are we looking for?**
We’re looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills, who has the ability to be flexible and positive to ever-changing customer and business needs.
Strong communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships to deliver exceptional customer service.
You must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Previous experience of dealing with customer complaints, both written and verbal, is advantageous.
You’ll have exceptional organisation ability and have good problem-solving skills. You’ll be a team player who’s able to work in a pressurised environment and meet demanding targets. You must be IT literate and have an understanding of internal systems andprocesses. Knowledge of water network operational processes is desirable but not essential.
