**About the Role & the Team**

This role will provide an opportunity to manage and oversee the operational activities of the Service, Supply Chain, Supply Only, Warehouse, Project Engineering and HSEQ departments. You will focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control to ensure that customer needs are met. Corporate social responsibility is a major consideration in this role, as well as continuous improvement, supply chain, and planning, to maintain the company’s strong brand for quality.

As a senior role, the Head of Operations - UK will promote innovation and develop talent to ensure the highest standard in the industry by creating a strong performance culture.

This role will be based in the Doncaster office with regular travel across other Heras own and customer sites in the UK.

**Role Overview**

**General Duties**
- Create an operational strategy, contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives
- Ensuring the realisation of organisational goals for Health, Safety and Environment in all UK locations
- Managing processes including resources and materials to ensure high quality products and levels of service in all locations
- Ensure a performance culture across all locations
- Ensuring that there are efficient processes and policies in place across Service, Supply Chain, Supply Only, Project Engineering, Warehouse and HSEQ departments
- Budget management; costs, investments, and forecasts
- To support the Supply Chain department to manage relationships with third party suppliers working alongside Procurement

**People Management**
- Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
- Setting clear daily, weekly and monthly team goals and objectives
- Lead and manage the teams, ensuring key tasks are prioritised so the production facilities runs smoothly
- Motivating your team and encourage creativity
- Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
- Suggest and organise team building activities
- Carry out people management duties including employee relation situations including;
- Performance management
- Absence management including absence review meetings and dealing with long and short term absence
- Dealing with investigations, disciplinary and grievances
- Workplace conflict
- Recruit, hire and train new production workers to perform their duties
- Identify training needs and provide coaching
- Recognising high performance and reward accomplishments
