Cedar are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join a growing Finance team in The City of London on a permanent basis.
**Salary**: £40,000- £50,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Senior Finance Manager
Hybrid working: 2-3 days in the office
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of templates that track short term pipeline revenue.
- Assist with monitoring fixed fee projects and other non-standard time and material engagements for appropriate revenue recognition - to include working with billing timekeepers on tracking of budgets for fixed fee projects.
- Assistance with preparation of monthly internal management reports for EMEA and ASIA regions, including variance analysis and discussion of results against budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
- Development of reports for businesses.
- Assisting with generating improvements and simplification of processes.
- Provide accurate summaries of financial performance relative to monthly activities for review with the Senior Finance Manager.
- Submitting approval of write off requests for final billing to clients in line with the internal Approval Matrix (daily).
- Assist with the quarterly Attribution, EBIT, Expert compensation calculation models.
- Processing of time allocation and invoices for external consultants, Includes review of contracts with the Financial Analysis Lead, arranging approval and payment of invoices and review of time entries per case as billed to clients.
- Support with the transition to the new Finance ERP System and assist with embedding new processes associated with the transition.
- Assist with the interface between EMEA Practice Finance and Finance US, Shared Service/Corporate teams and in gaining better visibility on certain finance data.
- General support to the EMEA Segment Finance Team.
- Assist Corporate Finance with Audit queries.
- Liaising with Client Desk on new client intake process and other ad hoc client-related matters.
- Coordinating signed Letters of Engagements for revenue recognition.
- Other Ad Hoc projects and finance duties as directed by the Senior Finance Manager.
**Skills Required**:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to assume full responsibility and accountability for assigned areas of responsibility
- The ability to multi-task, willingness to learn new skills and develop an understanding of other support operations of the business
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with financial and accounting systems and integrated data analytic tools
**Education/ Experience Required**:
- Part Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with accounting/reporting for international entities in EMEA region required.
- Professional Services industry experience is desirable.
- Experience with Elite financial systems a plus.
