We are a small independent gardening company that has seen growth over the last 5 years and are looking to expand due to the number of customers that we now have. We are looking for someone that has knowledge in the gardening sector.

**Job description**

The role that we are offering is for an Assistant Gardener.

The main duties will be weeding the borders, pruning the shrubs and plants and cutting back and shaping plants and shrubs at the right time of year. You will work in a number of different gardens ranging in sizes and specific requirements. This is a Job that not everyone wants to do or has the knowledge for. If you have knowledge of plant, shrubs, hedges and tress this would be an advantage but we can also train you / add to your current knowledge as well.

As a business we also carryout lawn mowing, strimming, hedge cutting and garden clearance jobs as well which you might be asked to do if required on occasions.

**Qualifications**

Qualifications are not essential providing you have the experience however a good knowledge of plants, weeds, shrubs would be beneficial. Also if you are working towards any of your RHS grades and are not yet qualified but are interested please also get in touch.

**Schedule**

The job is Monday - Friday with Saturday work available as well throughout the year if you would like it and we work 8 hour days plus breaks. We start in gardens normally around 7:30/8am depending on the time of year. We work in all weathers so if you don't like the cold or the rain then this job is not for you.

**Equipment/Tools/Transport**

All tools can be provide as needed for the work that you will be asked to carryout. Your own transport will be required to attend the customers sites. A full clean driving licence will be needed, driving company vehicles may be required at times. A company uniform will also be provided.

This role can be either Full time or Part time. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, well mannered, hardworking, who can show initiative and either work on their own or as part of a team.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
