Head of Finance

**Head of Finance - remote working.** We are a small European importer of sustainable seafood from around the world. Our customer base stretches across Europe and varies from small distributors to larger retailers. Our suppliers partners are "best in class" fishing companies from around theworld.We are looking for a part-time Head of Finance to work either from home, or our offices in Marlborough, on either a self-employed or PAYE basis. You’ll be the guardian of our P&L and Balance Sheet, with a significant focus on stock, margin control and management accounts, with a good dose of commercial oversight.This Head of Finance role demands strong attention to detail, working quickly and accuratelyunder pressure. Stock and management accounts experience is essential so that you can hit the ground running. You need to be someone who loves detail but also can step back and see the big picture. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Full ownership of the finance function day to day operations - Monthly management accounts including analysis and commentary - Tracking and reporting weekly/monthly on sales and margin by product - Stock control and system reconciliations - Raising recharge invoices and credit requests to protect the margin - Management of the logistics process including the allocation of costs by product - Oversee and prepare the UK/EU reporting on VAT/EC Sales/Duty/etc - Assisting the sales and service desk teams with any stock or system queries - Liaising with external banks and insurers - Budgeting and forecasting - Year-end accounts - Management and support of 1 part-time finance manager - Ad hoc duties **Skills required** - CIMA/ACCA qualified - Previous experience of stock accounting - Previous experience of management accounts - Knowledge of Dear and Xero would be an advantage - A proactive approach to adapting processes - A willingness to get stuck in on all aspects if finance if necessary - Honest and open communicator - Able to work well efficiently and methodically under pressure
