**Job description**:

- The Delivery Continuity Team (DCT) conduct strategic analysis and review of future requirements in DIO to develop delivery options. The team lead in developing strategic solutions and work with Commercial colleagues to convert strategy into effective and efficient enabling contracts, for facilities management and other estate services. DCT identify the scope for wider support across DIO business to help enable effective operating capability.**Person specification**:

- Drive the development, design (specification) build. testing and quality assurance of sophisticated cost models for procuring Hard and Soft Facilities Management and other Infrastructure Services in line with best practice.
- Update the scope, specification and other related documentation in line with agreed changes.
- Produce user guides and train users in the operation of the model.
- Produce and update costing data assumptions list (to accompany cost models) with key information pertaining to any data collected.
- Maintain and use a database of sources of cost data for cost modelling purposes and benchmarking, cost planning, whole life costing, life cycle replacement purposes and for estimating for minor and major capital works.
- Work closely with specialist Quantity Surveyors to support the preparation of cost estimate for Hard and Soft FM and other Infrastructure Services.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop pricing documentation for tenders.
- Support the team in the production, verification and validation of cost models.

**Desirable Skills & Experience**
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying

**Working Patterns**

The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees. Flexible working patterns and compressed hours will be considered.
