**Job Description** Your new role
Commercial Operations Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Responsible for commercial and contract management for all Operations contracts within your region. Responsible for day-to-day contract administration on selected schemes varying in value of £0.25M-£2M per scheme.

What you’ll be doing
- Assisting in the preparation of budget estimates and target prices in line with contract from project inception to target agreement
- Supply Chain management including sending enquiry documentation, quotation assessment, task order award and instructions to supply chain where required. Supply Chain Payment assessment including all relevant monthly documentation.
- Ensure Scheme Cost and value reconciliation is performed to ensure correct cost capture has occurred.
- Assisting in the management of change control management including early warning and compensation event management and production, both to the Client and to the supply chain as necessary, using CEMAR system.
- Prepare scheme forecasts with QS and project managers
- Accept personal responsibility for safety of self and others, reporting unsafe conditions and near miss incidents.

To be successful
- Relevant technical qualification at degree level and/or completed a work graduate programme, apprenticeship or similar
- Working towards member level of a professional organisation such as RICS, ICES, or equivalent
- Experience of contract administration, desirably NEC forms of contract
- Experience of negotiating targets and compensation events
- Minimum intermediate level MS Excel (basic formula, pivot tables, formatting)
- You will have good written and verbal communication skills enabling you to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders
