Role: Commercial Financial Analyst – 12 Months FTC Location : Bedfordshire Working Patterns – Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with hybrid (2 days office and 3 days from home) The Accountancy and Finance Division at The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a large, well-established organisation that’s going through an exciting period of transformation across finance, operations and technology in recruiting an experienced Commercial Financial Analyst / Management Accountant. Overview of the RoleYou’ll take full responsibility for month-end close, delivering accurate management accounts and high-quality P&L analysis. Your reporting will be used by senior leadership and Group, so accuracy, timeliness and strong controls are key. The role works closely with commercial finance, reporting and operational teams, making it a great blend of technical accounting and business partnering exposure.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end close and prepare management accountsMaintain data accuracy, perform checks and manage automated postingsValidate actuals for forecasting (Anaplan)Produce clear P&L reporting and commercial analysisProvide ad hoc insight to non-financial stakeholdersSupport Group reporting submissionsBuild and maintain a reporting hub for MI and KPIsKeep documentation audit-ready and support balance sheet recsContribute to budgeting and forecasting using historic trendsIdentify improvements and drive efficienciesSupport and guide the Management Accounts teamWhat They’re Looking ForACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE with strong management accounts experienceStrong Excel skills; Oracle/Power BI beneficialHigh attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlinesExperience with auditors and good understanding of financial controlsAnalytical, proactive and confident managing workload independently My client is looking for someone to start in the New Year and keen to start the interview process ASAP.
