An exciting opportunity has arisen within the GI & Lymphoma Research Team at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust to work as a Clinical Trials Administrator at the forefront of research into Gastro-intestinal Cancer and Lymphoma. This post-holder will be expected to work across both of our offices at Sutton and our London offices when necessary, this is to support the unit across both locations of the Royal Marsden.

Ideally, with familiarity with medical terminology and GCSE/A level education, you will work within the guidelines and policies for the conduct of clinical trials, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with the principles of GCP.

This is a pivotal role in supporting clinical research within this unit. Your main duties would include collecting and collating data for commercial and academic trials, organising and attending monitoring visits with trial sponsors together with administrative support to the research team. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including experienced medical and nursing staff taking part in an exciting portfolio of clinical research studies in GI Cancer and Lymphoma

MAIN OBJECTIVES
- To support the clinical research teams with study administration as required to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of clinical trials and other studies according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), trust policies and all applicable regulations and governance
- To ensure timely and accurate entry of data and relevant information into appropriate database systems
- To assist the Research Nurses with the prompt resolution of data queries
- To provide support to the clinical research team in daily trials activity and assist in workload management

- Liaise with external agencies (e.g. Sponsor organisations, R&D Departments and Local Ethics Committees etc) on behalf of Research Nurses and/or the Senior Trial Coordinator where required.
- Act as a point of contact for trial sponsors and to communicate directly with them regarding data queries, monitoring visits and other enquiries relevant to the trial and research team.
- Follow all relevant protocols, SOPs and standard practice.
- Plan and organise own time and workload activity with prioritisation
- To ensure timely and accurate entry of data and relevant information into appropriate database systems
- To enter data for multicentre studies where relevant
