- Co-ordinating the Operational onboarding of new fund/client mandates, share class launches and existing portfolio amendments in partnership with impacted stakeholder teams, ensuring that the business is fully briefed and engaged, and all operational requirements are comprehensively identified, tasked and completed. The Product Onboarding Executive is accountable for actively steering the course of progress and resolving impediments
- Communicating effectively both internally and externally (as appropriate) on the progress of onboarding work, holding (where required) regular working group meeting sessions with key stakeholders in order to monitor and manage progress.
- With the input and approval of internal and external stakeholders, complete any onboarding documentation required in remit of role linked onboarding the new fund, while ensuring all relevant stakeholder have relevant fund documentation to complete fund set-up. Creative and lateral thinking abilities are critical, as well as the ability to act as a business guardian, considering always LGIM’s standard service and operational capabilities
- Developing a clear understanding of the function of all business areas within LGIM, building and maintaining an effective network of strong working relationships within those areas
- Act as an inward and outward facing ‘onboarding consultant’, demonstrating technical ability and understanding and an awareness of the client’s decision making process and investment objectives. Communicate and map key onboarding milestones as necessary to manage and guide expectations.
- Providing day-to-day and strategic support to Product Onboarding Executives within the team
- Contributing to Strategic Target Operating Model (STOM) programme to ensure Fund Onboarding processes and engagement with others optimised.
**Qualifications**
Essential:
- Basic understanding of investments
- Strong academic background (Degree qualified)
- IMC (or prepared to study for the qualification)
- Knowledge of current investment, market, regulatory and economic matters
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate, influence and operate at a senior management level
Desirable:
- Working within the pensions industry / Compliance/Legal Dept
- Training and presenting
- Product/fund strategy & onboarding knowledge
- Experience within the investment management industry
- Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels
- Advanced Excel
- Project Management/Co-ordination experience/responsibilities
- Presentation skills
- Must possess a good level of ‘gravitas’ and maturity
- Highly team-orientated
- Work to and share best practice
- Highly organised & high attention to detail
- Proactive and proven to work on your own initiative
- Client focussed
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
