Job Specification:
**LITTLE BARBADOS KITCHEN ASSISTANT**
**Situated in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire we take pride in our brand-new kitchen pod; maintenance is a priority We have state-of-the-art equipment which must be kept pristine. Our standards are high. Our ingredients are cooked fresh. We serve hot food when it's ready. As we fully transition into the meal prep business**
- Our food will reach hundreds of thousands. A start-up, not just a kitchen.
- We serve healthy, delicious Caribbean dishes from the well-known Caribbean islands
**The Meat of the Role**
- Supporting the Team during service, cleaning and returning essential cooking equipment to their storage.
- Taking responsibility for emptying bins and recycling.
- Cleaning down after service and ensuring all surfaces and floors are clean.
- Ensuring that surrounding areas are clean and perfect to receive walk-in customers.
- To assist with food & beverage preparation for delivery.( Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats)
- Assisting Manager/Chefs with other raw material preparation as required.
- To ensure proper stock rotation of foodstuffs to minimise wastage as well as associated health risks.
- To assist in the monitoring and recording of refrigerator, chiller and freezer temperatures
**What are we looking for? (Essential Experience/ Qualifications)**
- Previous working in a commercial kitchen experience or equivalent
- The ability to adapt and make changes quickly ensuring the highest standards are retained.
- Qualification in food safety and a track record in managing all aspects of food safety
**Preferred Experience/ Qualifications**:
- Experience in a quality production style / branded environment
- Basic Food Safety Qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 1 years experience
**As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll receive some great benefits**

**Job Types**: Contract with potential for Full Time, Permanent
**Per hour**: £7 - £10.50
**Weekly Hours**: 20hrs (anything after is upon an agreed over time)
Initial stage we will not be open every day of the week - the days of operation are (Wednesday - Saturday) (4 hours + per day )
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temporary contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
**Salary**: £6.83-£10.50 per hour
