Country Manager

**COUNTRY MANAGER (Operations); Full-time, based in Chichester, UK** Do you want to help build real technology for a meaningful purpose? As a Country Manager at Tortuga, you’ll serve a pivotal role at the company by guiding the growth and success of our world-leading operations team, assets, and robotic harvesting fleet in the UK. You’ll bring experience with real-world operations and managementin physical and challenging on-the-ground environments. Your responsibilitywill grow as large as your experience and passion allows. **What you’ll do**: - Manage the day-to-day operations and team members in our UK operations across multiple customer and office locations - Surface issues from the field and communicate to executives and Ops leadership team - Communicate with, and actively coach, mentor, and manage, UK team members - Jump into Operations leadership frequently to facilitate field robot operations, logistics, and administration - Provide leadership from strategic planning through "getting it done" on daily mundane tasks - Contribute content to joint management tools such as Jira, wiki.js, and other Ops tools **What we’re looking for**: - Required: 5+ years of operational leadership in a challenging field (including but not limited to: agriculture, military logistics or special operations, complex/heavy machinery) - Required: Experience directly managing teams with mixed backgrounds, skillsets and capabilities - Required: Exceptional ability to communicate and coordinate, through voice, video, written communication, and presentations, across levels of management and across multiple geographies - Required: Excitement and maturity to build relationships with world-leading produce growers and their teams - Required: B.S. or relevant degree - Required: Willingness and excitement to work in an unstructured, outdoor environment, as you will be spending a good amount of time working at our farm sites - Preferred: Experience with hiring, training and people development - Preferred: Experience with finance, accounting, administration, accounts payable and receivable Your principal place of work will be at our office/warehouse in Chichester, UK.
