**Agency Finance operations Specialist**
**12 month FTC**
**Flexible on location - Hybrid working**

**The Role**

The main objective of this role is ensure data entered into Websure is accurate and to ensure there is sufficient reporting available to meet accounting and other reporting requirements both internally and externally.

The role is extended to cover all entities which fall under HSL service companies/agencies, being MGA in the UK, HISI in Miami, HASAS in France.

Working with credit control to collect premiums from brokers to drive down outstanding debts and in turn being able to pass premiums through to the carriers. You will be working very closely with other members of the team, including management and operations teams both internally and third parties.

Being part of a finance and Operations team will give someone great exposure to underwriting processes and how they impact to the financials.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the service company accountants with the internal and external reporting requirements of the entities.
- Assisting with the annual audit. Ensuring reporting to Websure is accurate and agreed to the General ledger / reported numbers.
- Production of reconciliations of Websure accounts, including posting transactions and query management.
- Assisting and leading remediation projects based on Websure and Finance reconciliations.
- Assist with the chasing of debts from external brokers.
- Liaising with internal and external brokers and carriers to agree balances.
- Working with IT to improve reporting.
- Assist the Service Company accountants or Head of Finance Operations with any adhoc tasks.

- Experience in the insurance industry or finance role
- Can maintain excellent attention to detail
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Innovative and open minded in approaching issues and determining solutions
- Confident communicator who builds good relationships across the business
- Self-motivated working as a team and individually
- Ability to travel to varying Hiscox offices

**Nice to have**
- Spanish speaking
- French speaking
- Experience of Oracle general ledger
- Proven track record of innovation and process development
- Experience of using Websure platforms
- Credit control experience
