Bid Designer

**Job objectives and responsibilities**

The Bid Designer will be responsible for the creation of high impact proposal graphics (both in electronic and hard copy formats) that contribute towards producing a winning proposal. The Bid Designer will work as an integral part of the Bidding Centre of Excellence team to ensure all customer facing documentation / media is of the highest visual impact, with the ability of turning written, numerical, and existing content into compelling visual representations.

Confident working with a range of software and design tools to create design output that can be incorporated into tender documents and accompanying materials such as brochures, document wallets, delivery cartons, websites, and other media as specified / required by the client.

**Main Duties**
- To support the sales and bidding team in the production of customer facing imagery and designs that convey value propositions, win themes and the solution narrative.
- To ensure compliance with required proposal deliverables.
- To create and manage a range of document and presentation
- Ability to work in a deadline-orientated environment without compromising artistic creativity.
- Work within corporate brand guidelines. Be a brand ambassador.
- Strong attention to detail. Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the client
- Work with sales team to understand the project scope and objectives
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials, and working to the client's brief
- Plan and prepares concept(s) by studying and researching information and materials
- Obtains approval of concept and progresses project to its conclusion
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
- Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the process, updating and communicating this to the client/stakeholder at all
- Assist in selecting appropriate graphic and/or digital styles for the project
- Must be able to liaise with external printers to specify requirements, ensure deadlines are met and that material is printed to the highest quality
- Keeping abreast of advancements in digital and graphics as well as new technologies and techniques
- Travel will be expected on occasion for meetings and briefings with sales/biddings /fellow designers and suppliers.
- The role may occasionally mean you have to work hours outside the regular working day in order to meet a deadline.

- Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style

- Ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts that meet the design brief and objectives
- Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution
- Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key
- Professional demeanour with high degree of comfort speaking with internal clients at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure while keeping a cool head and meeting deadlines
- Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to colleagues
- Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time
- Being open to feedback, including handling criticism professionally and calmly, and willing to make changes to your designs
