- We are seeking team leaders with a who can lead and motivate teams to deliver our ambitions for the environment and our inclusive people priorities. You will promote our ambitions around equality, diversity and inclusion ensuring that everyone who works here makes the Environment Agency a life-enhancing place to work.- This role includes the option to enrol on a fully funded ‘Team Leader Apprenticeship’ (Level 3).
The team
- Our leadership roles cover diverse range of teams across the whole of Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Cheshire. We are recruiting to teams that work in a variety of locations both office and field based. The roles will be based in our Warrington hub office or at our Sale and Winsford depots. You will be part of the Area Leadership Group helping to make our area an even better place to work and live.
Experience/skills required
- Our people are our number one priority. You will be passionate about leading, developing and supporting people and will be a positive role model who can inspire others.
- You will be able to balance and manage demands on your team from internal and external sources to help prioritise and manage workloads.
- You will have strong leadership skills and believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect and improve the environment for people and wildlife. You should have experience of leading people and this may have been achieved through non-team leader roles such as project management or a technical specialist/leader role.- You will take part in incident response and support your team to do the same.
