People are at the heart of everything we do at Polesden, with over 390,000 visitors to the property. As a Visitor Experience Officer, you'll be visible, engaging, and inspiring.

**Interviews for this role will be held on Wednesday 19th April.**

**The role is based on property. We are just four miles outside of Dorking, however transport is required to get here.**

What it's like to work here:In the Surrey Hills, just 25 miles from London, Polesden Lacey is ideal for spending time with family and friends.

We welcome visitors all year (except 24th/25th December). We are busiest at the weekends and in particular around Easter, Summer Holidays and Christmas. We also run out of hour events throughout the year.

As part of the Visitor Experience Team, you'll be a Duty Officer for the visitor operations and will need to work a minimum of four weekend days per month.

You’ll be working closely with the Senior Programming and Partnerships Officer in coordinating a plan for visitor experience, conservation, and commercial activity.

You’ll be supporting Polesden Lacey operationally both as a Duty officer and as a part of the Visitor Experience team. This involves working weekends and the odd evening shift.

You'll be leading a small team of volunteers in community engagement and experience enhancement.

You’ll support the welcome team in their work to advise our visitors about the charitable work we do, and improve our fundraising projects on site.

You'll support community engagement by ensuring Polesden Lacey becomes accessible for a broader audience, developing relationships with local community groups.

You’ll support with the production of social media content and marketing support.

Who we're looking forIt’s a meaningful role at a busy property, and we need someone who can tackle a challenge. To deliver this role successfully, you’ll need to have:

- Experience of working to multiple deadlines and managing own workload
- Strong organisation and planning
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work as part of a team but also to your own initiative
- Experience of producing interpretation, marketing or promotional material
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures
