Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEN (SEMH) school in Rugeley for a full time SEMH Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a student to start after Easter. The school is committed to creating a happy, safe and stimulatinglearning environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their potential. They promote respect, responsibility, independence and creativity in order to build confidence, increase motivation and enhance learning.

- Have experience working with children who have SEMH and or ASC needs
- Be resilient and tenacious
- Be willing to go the extra mile for the children
- Have a good understanding of complex behaviour
- Be team teach trained or willing to become certified
- Be able to work well as part of a team and off own initiative.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The role and responsibilities for a SEN (SEMH) Teaching Assistant may consist of the following:

- To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the intellectual, sensory and personal development needs of children
- To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs of children
- To support pupils in the achievement of their individual learning and behaviour targets
- To contribute to the safety of the pupils
- To implement school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of children
