Small Works Estimator

TP Fire & Security, a BAFE accredited industry leading provider of Fire Protection and Security systems who have been established for over 30 years, are looking for a Small Works Estimator: you will be working closely with our small works manager who will train and assist and oversee the process. This is a exciting opportunity for an engineer to come off the tools and start developing new skills within an office environment at a growing company, serving customers of quality and prestige.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Must have strong working knowledge and technical experience of the current British Standards and current legislations for fire and security.
- Must have experience with estimating and in depth fire and security knowledge.
- Knowledge of various Fire Alarm systems or experience with Access control systems with key experience in Paxton, Gallagher, ACT Vanderbilt, Grosvenor Technology would be beneficial
- Experience in scheduling engineers and busy workloads.
- Understanding of engineers reports.
- Must be competent in IT related products for Security and Communication devices and Computer literate in MS Office suite (preferably Word & Excel)

**DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Qualifications in BS5839, BS5266/FIA Units desirable
- An ECS or CSCS card is desirable

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Permit to work in the UK (foreign National)
- Must have a full, clean driving licence
- Must be able to satisfy vetting to BS7858 and Enhanced DBS checks will be required for this role
- Must be self-motivated, punctual, well presented and have diligent work ethic as working remotely from the office
- Customer focused
- Inquisitive, diligent and logical
- Articulate with good administration skills
- Have a ‘can-do’ approach and be a ‘team-player’

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
