Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for a** Deputy MLRO (Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer)**to join their team.

**Location**: Hybrid - London, United Kingdom

**Job type**:_This is a permanent part-time position working 3 days per week._**

**How will you make an impact in this role?**
**The Role**:

- The role of the Deputy MLRO is to assist the MLRO and is to deputies for the MLRO when absent. Assist the MLRO to establish and maintain effective anti-money laundering systems and control procedures.

**What We Expect of You, Day To Day**:

- Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in the MLRO’s absence
- Assist in maintaining and updating Trust Payments' anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) policies
- Assist the MLRO in managing AML audits and ensure timely completion of follow-up actions
- Ensure timely investigation of suspicious activity reports (SARs) and communication with the National Crime Agency (NCA)
- Oversee client due diligence during onboarding and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations
- Assist in AML monitoring programs and ensure that weaknesses or compliance issues are flagged and addressed
- Help with training employees on AML policies and changes in legislation, including horizon scanning for regulatory updates

**Qualifications**
- Degree (or equivalent) or comparable work experience required
- Must have 1 to 2 years relevant local working experience in a compliance / risk role
- ICA or ACAMS Money Laundering qualification considered advantageous
- Broad and/or in-depth technical compliance knowledge in relation to AML/CTF
- Knowledge of regulations and procedures covering both UK and EU
- Experience in Banking and Financial Services industry, in particular, in card schemes and other alternative payments, will be considered as an asset
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication with ability to explain complex requirements concisely
- Developing, implementing, promoting and maintaining compliance standards and procedures that enable Trust Payments (UK) to act in a compliant manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Attention to detail and diligence and assess potential legal and compliance issues
- Be able to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines
