Due to continued growth, OPRA now have a fantastic opportunity for a Development or Experienced Insurance Loss Adjuster

Working as part of a remote team, you’ll undertake site visits on behalf of a range of clients involving, mainly, domestic insurance claims up to a value of £100k.

You will be required to assess the cause of the loss, discuss outcomes with the customer, and scope both buildings and contents repairs and produce detailed reports.

The work will be on a “visit and release basis” however, you may be required to engage and work with various internal and external specialists as a consequence of your visit.

**Role Duties**:

- Interpret insurance policies to assess and determine liability and communicate this to our customers.
- Identify building repairs as a result of the loss and create scopes in order to fulfil reinstatement.
- Undertake detailed questioning and evidence gathering which will enable you to provide the customer with a range of settlement options.
- Identify fraud concerns and report them to the relevant internal teams.
- Conduct joint visits with building contractors, surveyors or insurance clients as required.
- Conduct underwriting tasks; for example, building value at risk surveys Service additional appointments and travel to different parts of the country as a result of severe weather and surge events.

**Essential Skills**:

- Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work under your own initiative as well as flexible during times of surge.
- Be committed to gaining relevant qualifications for the role such as Cert CILA, BDMA and other courses we deem necessary.
- Hold a full driving license and have a willingness to travel the ability to recognise the need for efficient and effective processes and to follow these closely.
- Have exceptional Customer Service ethics, have effective communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to draft detailed reports.
- Have a desire to embrace innovative working practices.
- Be conversant with Apple software.
