**Key Objectives**
**The Systems Implementer role is responsible for the implementation of customers IT and EPoS systems as well as**
**coaching and training of the end users, in line with multi customer business-as-usual activity involving installs,**
**moves and changes (IMAC) and or customer project rollouts.**
**Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities**
- Conduct thorough **preparation** checks prior to attending sites
- Attend customer sites in line with your schedule of works to conduct **implementation** services.
- Conduct system **coaching and training **in line with the specification of the customer IT solutions
- Provide **Go Live Support** to the management and staff of the site.
- Act as **co-ordinator** of all third parties on site.
- Complete all site-specific **documentation** to include site sign off and report site issues to Project Control
- Build excellent **customer relationships** whilst on site
- Comply with all **company business processes** and procedures
- Conduct **other** tasks as may be required from time to time.
**Key Tasks**
**Preparation prior to arriving at site**
Responsible for checking equipment prior to arriving on site to avoid failure of task. Please report issues to Project
- Control giving sufficient time to rectify.
Ensure that you are fully compliant with the dress code. In some instances you will be required to wear nGeneration uniform, however, there may be instances when this is not required but, in all instances, you must wear your ID and
- check you are carrying the correct PPE e.g. Steel Toe Cap Boots, High Visibility Jacket, Hard Hat etc in case you are required to work on a site which is in refurbishment.
Ensure that you have all of the relevant documentation with you prior to attending site e.g. Process documentation,
- RAMS, survey, Pre-Contract Minutes, Drawing Pack, CSCS Card, Process Folder, Asbestos Awareness Certificate etc. The company will arrange for you to be certified if appropriate.
- You will, from time to time, require certain equipment when working on site to enable you to complete the implementation process e.g. Cable Tester, Tool Kit (To include drill which you must be competent to use), Analogue
- Telephone, till swipe card, Tablet Cable Ties, Mobile Phone, Socket Tester, Voltage Detector, Label Maker, PDQ Test Cards, Spare Cables - Cat5, RJ11 and RJ45, Wood Screw, Angle Brackets, Nuts and bolts, USB Drive, Boxes, Bubble Wrap, Parcel Tape etc. This is not an exhaustive list so please check with Project Control prior to attending.

- If you are attending a site which is in normal trading, please report to the site manager and introduce yourself presenting your ID Badge.
- If you are attending a site which is in refurbishment report to site foreman (details in survey). Make sure you provide paper co pies of RAMS, show your CSCS card, show Asbestos Awareness Certificate - If the site has Asbestos look at the Asbestos survey. You must wear the appropriate PPE.
- Familiarise yourself with the site. Locate ALL equipment and locations e.g. Tills, Printers, PDQ’s, Scanners, Back Office PC, Serve rs, Routers, Back Office Printer, Telephones, Switches, Standard Cables; Cat5, ADSL, RJ45 and RJ11Cash Drawer shrouds etc
- Drill holes in counter tops and screw peripherals to the counter tops as and when required.
- You will from time to time be required to attend sites to conduct Equipment Surveys, which will identify what equipment is required and the locations of such equipment.
- Conduct all tasks as outlined in your work request and report any tasks that cannot be completed due to external
- impacts to Project Control. Report all equipment, comms and cabling which you have identified is not working to Project Control immediately.
- Before reporting issues ensure that you have exhausted all avenues to rectify. Use your initiative and experience to resolve issues.
**Coaching and training**
- Conduct one-to-one coaching and or training of the onsite management and staff in line with both the system and customer specific requirements to ensure that the end user is fully competent in the use of the IT and EPoS systems.
- Conduct group training as and when required.
- Evaluate competency levels of all personnel coached and trained to include feedback on sign-off. Pay particular attention to staff who you do not feel are competent and may require further training.
**Go Live Support**
- Ensure that the first transactions are conducted smoothly and provide support to the site throughout trading and provide conduct additional coaching and training as required.
