1x Permanent and part time (18.5 hours per week) - Petherton Resource Centre Hengrove
Second Step leads a partnership of voluntary sector organisations which deliver community health services in Bristol with Avon and Wiltshire and Partnership Trust (AWP). This is carried out via three teams: Assessment and Recovery, Crisis and Early Intervention. All the teams come under the banner of Bristol Mental Health.
Mental Health Workers are responsible for providing advice and support to individuals to allow them to maintain a meaningful life. This is a 24 hour, 7 day a week service. Bank holiday working is required, in addition to working night shifts.
Mental Health Crisis Workers work with service users, family, carers, friends and work within a multi disciplinary team. Mental Health Crisis Workers support service users during periods of acute mental health crisis.
The successful applicant would receive a comprehensive induction and be fully supported by the multi disciplinary team to support a team caseload of low and medium risk service users with severe and enduring mental health needs. You would receive management and clinical supervision and take part in weekly meetings with the MDT with the opportunity for reflection and review of service users on the team caseload.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to build therapeutic relationships with service users and enable engagement with voluntary and statutory organisations across Bristol.
Please note you must hold a current driving license, either a car or motorbike, and have access to a vehicle.
In return we offer excellent benefits to include a minimum of 26 days annual leave to 31, a Flex system as well as well as learning and development opportunities.
