**The primary responsibilities for the role would be;**

To assist in the efficient and effective running of the Stores Department
**To be successful in this role you will need to have/be;**
- Competent in using computer modular software to book in received goods to ensure their traceability, part number & material certification is recorded.
- Willing to follow various Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to keep up high standards of packing guaranteeing our products arrive at their destination safely & on time.
- Efficient in excepting high levels of daily deliveries, carefully unpacking, and locating the goods into specific set locations i.e., Stock, Quality Control, Raw material & job specific pallets.
- Accurate when picking parts from stock to be placed on job specific pallets.
- Ensure timely returns of failed components back to sender, keeping evidence and documentation of issues.
- Good communication skills so that Project managers and the Production manager are notified when job specific items have arrived.
- Assist the Purchasing department by notifying them of any items missing, damaged or incorrect once delivered.
- To keep control of all stock parts and generate reports at regular intervals.
- To be responsible for the general warehouse Health & Safety by encouraging high standards or housekeeping.
**Essential Skill & Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role essential.
- PC Literate.
- Great communication Skills.
- High quality goods packing and material handling.
- Previous experience within an Engineering and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work well independently, whilst collaborating in a team environment.
- Capability to work under pressure and to dispatch deadlines.
**Desirable skills & Experience**
- Forklift license holder preferred (or training can be required)
- Driving license preferred (for local pickups / drop-offs)
- Experience with using measurement equipment to inspect manufactured items
- Awareness of lean manufacturing principles including ‘5S’
- Flexibility to work overtime including weekend (Saturday) if required.
- Basic use of industrial engineering equipment (Band saw, Pallet truck, Callipers, Surface finish tester etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £8.00-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
