Learning Consultant

**What makes this role unique ?**

As a **Learning Consultant** you will be the key contact point with our internal business area customers to help identify short and long term capability/skills needs. You will take responsibility for defining the learning solutions architecture and the delivery of a range of different bespoke projects in the learning space.

**What you will be doing?**
- Responsibility for the full learning cycle including identification of the performance need, learning needs analysis, issue analysis and leading design teams through the process of creation.
- Partnering with the business to create and launch Competency Frameworks with mapped learning.
- Working with all stakeholders from management to audience; you will lead the design of modern learning solutions that contribute to a market leading learning experience for our learners and that delivers business impact for Thames Water.
- Use reporting and analysis to drive conversations with business areas and to assure the impact of learning.
- Acting as the design lead and authority for capability and skills assurance frameworks for a business area that cover both industry standard and Thames Water specific requirements with a constant drive to simplify and deliver efficient effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and deliver appropriate learning solutions to meet our needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement which are supported by comprehensive and achievable plans for implementation.
- Help to develop and maintain competency frameworks that supports Thames Water to have confidence in employee competence whilst reducing the time spent and volume of learning.
- Advise and help manage the ongoing digital skills framework and assessment tools and align to development plans, skills programmes and regulatory compliance.
- Work with stakeholders and HR teams to understand the internal and legal requirements for 3rd party contractors and ensure our learning service is fit for purpose

**What you will being to the role?**
- Experience working as a learning consultant specifically delivering learning demand planning and leading design teams through the solutions lifecycle to delivery and review.
- Solution and outcome driven with a strong business perspective
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- First class interpersonal skills and commitment to customer and end user experience.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines with a high level of problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects with ambitious deadlines.
- Take initiative, work on your own, and be innovative and creative with course design and facilitation.
- Be teamwork oriented with demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience of managing associated continuous improvement projects, be systems and process driven and have experience in using data to drive future improvements.
- Advanced IT skills, including the use of MS Excel, Word Visio and PowerPoint.
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to develop, validate and produce reports/user guidance notes, relevant for specific audiences.
- Project management knowledge with the ability to structure, plan, control and co-ordinate multiple tasks.
- Confident in the ability to use digital tools to create long lasting solutions that drive forward the productivity of yourself, your team, and Thames Water.
