**About the role**:
We are looking for an Event Delivery Manager to join our dynamic Hospitality Department, who will be responsible for setting up and delivering events, whilst providing the highest quality of service. No two days are ever the same, and you will work across all Hospitality areas of the business on events such as weddings, seminars, Christmas parties and graduations.

To assist with the operational planning and co-ordination, service delivery and customer management of all conferences and events, both internal and external. Ensuring the department achieves consistently high standards of customer service, whilst maintaining operational controls including maximising sales opportunities and managing costs. As part of the management team contribute to policies and procedures and provide support to the other sections within the Hospitality department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the delivery of hospitality and services for all conferences and events across all of The Lowry's corporate hospitality spaces, ensuring consistency and quality of service throughout.
- Work closely with the conference and events sales team to understand the practical needs of our clients and to provide advice on functional and effective delivery.
- Meet and greet clients, display a thorough knowledge of their event and remain present and available to the client at all times.
- Be responsible for maintaining back of house standards, including stock levels and storage.
- To carry out daily department checks of the event spaces to ensure they are clean, tidy and in line with default or event setting, whichever is suitable at the time of the check.
- Assist in the achievement of departmental objectives in conjunction with the business plan.
- Ensure that all equipment in the department is used correctly, maintained and cleaned properly, and that staff are appropriately trained.
- Ensure that all special requests for clients are carried out and that colleagues are notified accordingly.
- Ensure all department 'standard operating procedures' are kept up to date and are used as a reference and training document.
- Working with the corporate audio-visual technicians to provide service and support to clients as deemed appropriate.
**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate with a wide cross section of people; external clients and suppliers and internal colleagues and departments.
- A commitment to delivering excellent levels of customer care.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- An ability to efficiently supervise staff, delegate tasks and empower employees.
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively, working under own initiative.
- Stock control and stock taking.
- Cash handling.
- Basic Food & Hygiene.
- Experience of hospitality operational management, preferably within a large visitor attraction.
- Experience in managing a conference and event function.
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- An active interest in hospitality trends and innovations.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene.
- Personal licence holder.
- Knowledge of Artifax Event.
- Knowledge of EPOS systems.
- Awareness of brand importance to an organisation such as The Lowry.
- Experience in stock taking procedures.
