Salford Pride is seeking committed 
Voluntary Events & Projects Assistants
 to support our Head of Events & Projects in the planning, coordination and delivery of a range of Salford Pride activities, events and community projects, including our flagship event, 
The Pink Picnic
. This role is central to helping us deliver inclusive, diverse and engaging programmes that strengthen community connections and support our fundraising objectives.

Time Commitment:

6–8 hours per week, including one online meeting and one in-person meeting in Salford each month.

Key Responsibilities

The Events & Projects Assistant will:

  • Support the organisation and development of Salford Pride events and projects under the guidance of the Head of Events & Projects and Committee Lead.
  • Contribute ideas for new events and one-off themes for existing activities.
  • Support the
    Head of Events & Projects and wider team
    to ensure all events are delivered safely and responsibly.
  • Assist with the delivery of all Salford Pride activities, events and community projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through social media, photography and other communication channels to maximise engagement and funding.
  • Support the planning, organisation and delivery of 
    The Pink Picnic
    , the organisation's major annual project.
  • Assist with tasks and activities related to 
    The Pink Picnic
     as assigned by the
    Head of Events & Projects and Committee Lead.
  • Support the
    Head of Events & Projects and Committee Lead
    in securing sponsorship and partnerships for 
    The Pink Picnic
    .
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Salford Pride team to ensure effective delivery of all activities and events.
