**Field Service Engineer**

**Hours**
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
**Salary**
£17-20 per hour - negotiable dependent on experience

**What’s involved in the role**:

- Working on the Shred-Tech mobile trucks which shred paper
- Working on what is back from the drivetrain including PTOs propshafts, pumps, piping and hydraulic system and then the electrical control systems as well as the mechanical knives, hoppers, augers, walking floor
- Working on mobile shredders
- Carry out PDIs
- The role will also include working on the jaw crushers and scalping screens
- Use of IT paramount including filling out service forms, completing reports, taking pictures etc of defects

**What you will need**:

- A background on chassis, maintenance and repair would be beneficial
- Hydraulical, electrical, mechanical and lifting understanding key, following work diagrams for knife configurations
- The role of the engineer will be to head up any repairs or call outs for mechanical issues for a range of customers, across given locations
- Experience working in workshops with the proven ability to diagnose and repair construction machinery
- Relevant experience and knowledge of servicing/maintaining plant and heavy equipment
- Commercially minded and astute with a ‘get the job done’ attitude
- Positive and responsible with a solutions-based attitude
- Hard working ethic with an understanding and experience of completing ‘price work’ to a high standard
- Wants to be part of a dynamic team and make a difference
- Good time management skills and able to estimate and hit target labour times
- Must possess a good work ethic and able to work on their own
- Flexibility to travel and stay out overnight where required for the needs of the business
- Willingness to go above and beyond, enthusiastic towards their work and the company’s brand reputation
