**About the Role **Reporting directly to the Nursery Leadership Team, the Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for being a key worker and participating with planning, organisation and operation within the rooms.The Nursery Practitionerwill also be responsible for providing a stimulating and varied programme of play alongside other team members, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times and working alongside the Nursery Leadership team to deliver a consistent ‘Parent/Carer/Children’sexperience’ & ‘team experience’ whilst delivering the ‘key responsibilities & compliance’ of the Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery.

**Purpose of the role**:

- To provide an exciting and wide activity programme and understand and respect the need for consistency of care in our Nursery
- To assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment to ensure that all aspects of each individual child’s development are given full consideration via monitoring and implementing sufficient safeguarding policies
- To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times.
- To maintain and follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to the Nursery
- To be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation and development records on a regular basis.
- To be involved in developing and delivering a stimulating and creative atmosphere within the Nursery providing a wide activity programme for nursery sessions.
- To maintain confidentiality about all issues related to children, their families and the business.
- Working alongside Nursery Leadership Team to achieve excellent standards within the nursery

**Typical working hours:**40 hours per week Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am and 6pm
**Rate of pay**: this is a permanent role, £9.72 per hour paid fortnightly, 40 hours per week.

*Minimum NVQ level 3 or above - will consider a Level 2 practitioner who is working towards level 3 and due to finish soon
*One years’ working experience with children in a nursery setting
*Strong knowledge of the statutory requirements, Safeguarding and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
*Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
