**Role information** Reporting directly to the Nursery Leadership Team, the Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for being a key worker and participating with planning, organisation and operation within the rooms.The Nursery Practitionerwill also be responsible for providing a stimulating and varied programme of play alongside other team members, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at all times and working alongside the Nursery Leadership team to deliver a consistent ‘Parent/Carer/Children’sexperience’ & ‘team experience’ whilst delivering the ‘key responsibilities & compliance’ of the Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery. **Purpose of the role**: - To provide an exciting and wide activity programme and understand and respect the need for consistency of care - To assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment to ensure that all aspects of each individual child’s development are given full consideration via monitoring and implementing sufficient safeguarding policies - To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times. - To maintain and follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures. - To be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation and development records on a regular basis. - To be involved in developing and delivering a stimulating and creative atmosphere within the Nursery providing a wide activity programme for nursery sessions. - To maintain confidentiality about all issues related to children, their families and the business. - Working alongside Nursery Leadership Team to achieve excellent standards within the nursery **Typical working hours**:40 hours per week Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00 and 18:00 *Minimum NVQ level 3 or above - will consider a Level 2 practitioner who is working towards level 3 and due to finish soon *3+ years’ working experience with children in a nursery setting *Strong knowledge of the statutory requirements, Safeguarding and EYFS curriculum *Caring and nurturing attitude towards children *Excellent verbal and written communication skills **We care for each other**:you will be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation and development records on a regular basis. **We get stuck in**: Working in partnership with families and providers, looking after children takes a team of people **We create smiles**:there’s no better feeling than a child’s happiness when you support them through their early years development **The perks of working with us**: *Funded qualification development opportunities from Level 2 to Masters Degrees for permanent team members. *Free use of our pool and many other leisure facilities *20% off food in our restaurants and take away *Subsidised food and drinks in our team diners *Holidays Discounts of 20% for all your family & friends in Haven, Butlin"s & Warner Hotels *Subsidised OFSTED Nursery facilities available on resort *Regular team incentives with great rewards. *Opportunity to earn up to £1,000 when you refer friends to join our great team *Access to the Employee Assistance Programme including support for your wellbeing and free access to advice and expertise on financial and legal matters etc *Fantastic discounts on loads of high street and online brands *Team Member of the Month Awards *Instant Recognition schemes with great rewards through our busiest times *Long Service awards We would love to hear from you if your skills match what we are looking for and you would like to part of our team.
