**Senior Wellbeing Practitioner**:

- £25,916 - £28,508 per annum (Salaries vary depending on experiences)

**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
Overall job responsibility.

The Children,Young People and Families team focuses on improving children and young people’s mental health by ensuring those with early signs of distress can always access the right help, in the right setting, when they need it.

Some of the core duties include:

- Provide high-quality case supervision to frontline workers delivering mental health and well-being support to children and young people.
- Provide support, training and guidance as needed to the worker, to support them to deliver impactful interventions.
- Deliver one-to-one and group recovery focused interventions for children and young people (majority aged 16 - 25-year olds) to support their mental health and well-being, utilising evidence based therapeutic approaches and tools. This may include sessionson anxiety and low mood, identity, exam stress, and employment, education and training.
- Deliver workshops to parents/carers of young people who are experiencing mild anxiety.
- Create a bespoke support programme, with the young person being supported, to ensure that their support needs are met and that they are empowered through shaping the support they receive.
- Manage a shared online toolkit of resources for staff to use in sessions and contribute towards to share best practice and learning with colleagues.
- Undertake triaging and allocation of referrals coming into CYP&F services.
- Manage a caseload of young people at any one time, whilst balancing senior practitioner duties.

Essential criteria:

- GCSE’s in English and Maths, or equivalent
- Detailed understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues affecting Young People
- An excellent understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion issues impacting on children & young people’s lives
- Proven track record of delivering similar services
- Overview of service Provision/pathways for CYP&F based upon level of need
- Strong relationship building skills including relations with residents, service users, staff, internal and external partners
- Able to solve problems and think creatively
