Job Purpose

ISG is extremely committed to Social Value. This position presents a fantastic opportunity to individuals seeking a business that has genuine commitment and investment to social value. We currently have a group wide team of 20 Social Value specialists and have plans to expand this further.

**Responsibilities**:
Advise on the design and delivery of the social value plan and how it will be achieved
Support project teams to implement social value initiatives (including work placements, apprenticeships, educational events, careers events, community initiatives, supply chain engagement and support)
Support projects in recording, reporting and achieving social value targets
Meet client, stakeholder, legislative, other third party and internal requirements on social standards
Advise the commercial team on securing supply chain involvement
Identify and liaise with relevant partner organisations, such as local schools, charities, employment and skills agencies
Monitor and review social value data to ensure accuracy and performance improvement
A methodical approach to workload is necessary, as is the ability to prioritise important over urgent. The role involves working in both a standalone capacity as well as being part of a team. The individual should have experience related to the construction industry (or built environment projects) and social value where possible

**Skills and Experience**:
Experience of delivering social value projects and meeting project targets
Themes, Outcomes, and Measures (TOMs) awareness
Strong communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Confidently communicate (written and oral) both internally and externally
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Ability to work as part of a team
Experience and understanding of social value issues and opportunities in construction
Excellent IT skills; in particular, knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
