**Position Description**

**Title**:Database Administrator

**Department**:Information Technology

**Immediate Supervisor**:Sr. Database Administrator

**Status**:Exempt

**Principle Accountabilities**
- Configures and maintains SQL database backups and performs on demand restores as needed
- Partners with IT department staff on Application and Database Security to execute security strategy based on groups and roles
- Performs user level security changes as needed.
- Schedules and applies service packs and patches or hotfixes.
- Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures. Coordinates and communicates with impacted departments.
- Reviews and deploys Developer generated code into the test and production systems and monitors code deployed for performance and/or reliability issues.
- Develops flexibles, non-restrictive standards for the infrastructure for the SQL platform and the Applications Delivery platform. Monitors and enforces the usage of these standards.
- Performs on-call duties to resolve problems of an urgent nature in which an immediate resolution is needed.
- Related tasks as requested by supervisor

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- 2+ Years SQL Server management
- Experience managing SSIS/SSRS/SSAS; Experience with Informatica MDM/IDQ/PowerCenter 10x is preferred
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365/Sharepoint Online, Web Services, and.Net
- Expert level proficiency with Application and web technologies
- Experience using defect and issue tracking software
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing needs, shifting priorities, and meeting deadlines utilizing analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the abilities to listen to and understand the business user’s issues and needs and effectively communicate resolution of issues.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to implement changes when all other users are not utilizing systems.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
