The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Goods Receiving Clerk to join our talented Finance Department team. In this role, we are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
In the role of Goods Receiving Clerk, your key focus will be to:
- ensure responsible, correct and smooth receipt of all deliveries into the hotel, whilst checking quality, quantity and temperature*
- ensure that received items are collected by the relevant departments as soon as possible, in order to maintain freshness of items and keep the Receiving Bay free from clutter
- issue dry goods from the Dry Store and beverages from the Wine Cellar
- document all incoming and outgoing items from suppliers into the Sun Accounting system, indicating that the goods are existing in the hotel
- record day-to-day supplier problems and report them back to the Food & Beverage Cost Controller immediately
- In this role, you will predominately work Monday - Friday (starting as early as 6am or 7am), plus half a day every second Saturday.
- Do you have?
- previous experience of working in goods receiving within a hospitality/hotel environment;
- ability to work unsupervised;
- attention to detail, ability to identify mistakes and request clarification;
- MS Office knowledge;
- numerical abilities;
- flexible attitude; and
- good customer service skills.
